It’s the tenth episode of the The Electric Wire podcast! To start, Kristin Gilkes, Executive Director, Customers First! Coalition, and co-host Tom Content, Executive Director, Citizens Utility Board of Wisconsin, discuss recent energy news, including the announced closure of the coal-fired Columbia Energy Center in Portage, WI; a new solar/storage proposal in Kenosha County; diversity and equity reporting requirements at the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin; recent state budget and legislative news; and, the devastating electric system failures in Texas.


We are also joined by a panel to discuss coal plant closures and the clean energy transition from the perspective of several different stakeholders, including Todd Stuart, Executive Director, Wisconsin Industrial Energy Group; Scott Smith, Assistant Vice President – Business and Regulatory Strategy, Madison Gas and Electric; and, Dan Litchfield, Renewable Energy Project Developer, Invenergy.
