How Much Energy Is Enough? Energy-Limiting Behaviors and Affordability with Dr. Destenie Nock

Madison, WI - A low energy bill doesn’t always mean energy is affordable. Following her keynote at CFC’s 2026 Power Breakfast, Dr. Destenie Nock joins The Electric Wire to discuss a concept she developed called energy-limiting behaviors—when households cut back on heating or cooling to manage costs.

We explore what these behaviors reveal about unmet customer needs and what it means for households to have enough energy to support their health and well-being. Dr. Nock also reflects on conversations at the Power Breakfast, shares industry trends she’s watching, and previews her upcoming book.
