Madison, WI - The Customers First Coalition will host its annual Power Breakfast on Thursday, August 15, 2024, an event which will celebrate the 50th episode of CFC's Electric Wire podcast by bringing back some of the most popular podcast guests!

Topics will include the reality of retail choice in deregulated states; utility-scale energy storage technologies; and, a panel with Wisconsin’s energy providers. Confirmed speakers include Brent Ridge, President and CEO, Dairyland Power Cooperative; Commissioner Marcus Hawkins, Public Service Commission of Wisconsin; Rep. Lisa Subeck, Ranking Member, Assembly Committee on Energy and Utilities, and, Laurel Peltier, a consumer advocate from Maryland, who has seen first-hand the perils of energy deregulation, or retail choice, for electric customers in that state.
